Volunteering and Donations

If you are looking for a good cause, please consider Two Rivers Martial Arts as we are always looking to improve our organization and aid our communities. We have changed many lives through the personal growth from learning traditional Tae Kwon Do and want to continue this tradition. We also promote volunteering to our students for our organization and our communities as it enhances the life for the both recipient and the volunteer. You do not have to be a student to support Two Rivers, so please consider us for your volunteering and donations. Thank you for your consideration.

To volunteer, just send an email with a general description of your interests and abilities to: trmaweb@tworiversmartialarts.com

Why consider Two Rivers Martial Arts?

Two Rivers Martial Arts was established in 1998 and is run entirely by volunteers. We have no payroll and freely give our time to our school. We are Instructors, Board and Committee members, tournament organizers and leaders, test judges and community demonstration leaders. Our black belt volunteer instructors include teachers, carpenters, electricians, computer programmers, physicians, government employees, a chief financial officer, an x-ray technician, grocery store employee, business planner, engineer, social worker, budget analyst, and other careers. We have diverse skills and backgrounds, and we share our skills to support our school. We all teach Tae Kwon Do because it builds confidence, encourages healthy life style choices, promotes self-control, develops leadership skills, increases endurance, and of course, teaches self-defense.

We also support our community with donations to charities and fundraisers. We have co-partnered in a fun run/walk to raise money for the North Warren County Volunteer Fire Department, contributed to Amanda the Panda, food pantries, and Toys for Tots, participated in cleaning up of a section of I-235, and assisted in a variety of other causes at our Iowa and Missouri locations.

Tae Kwon Do offers positive life changes to people who need it the most. Two Rivers Martial Arts offers this to a wide variety of students, some with physical and mental handicaps, children who have been bullied, adults who are trying to lose weight and develop confidence, and of course students who just want to learn a martial art. Our fees are less than half those charged by most for-profit schools, and we offer scholarships to students who could not otherwise afford to train. This is only possible because Two Rivers Martial Arts is a volunteer organization that only looks to cover its expenses. Thank you for your consideration.
