World tai chi and Qi Gong day on Saturday April 29th. The event will be held at the Southside YMCA on Army Post Road. This is a world wide event. All practitioners will practice tai chi at 10am. Shortly after various tai chi and Qi Gong stations will be available for students to learn and practice. More information to come later.

GM Jung will be arriving at TRMA on 12-9-16 for Friday night class to promote black belts who tested at Cedar Rapids. He will be there at the start of class for promotions. This is open for anyone to attend and celebrate our senior black belts. Let's have a strong showing of support . Immediately after Mr Jung will be leaving to promote Martial Arts America senior students.
Tai Chi class will be held this coming Saturday after Thanksgiving on November 26th at the regular time at 9am
On November 30th Tai chi class will be held at 7:30PM. There is no Tai chi class on Saturday December 3rd due to Cedar Rapids testing.
On December 7th Tai Chi class will be held at 8pm. There is no Tai chi class on Saturday December 10th due to color belt testing.

The TRMA Holiday Party and Annual Meeting are scheduled for Saturday, January 7, beginning at 6pm. The event will be held at the Fred Maytag Scout Building, 6321 Scout Trail, Des Moines (see the map). It is right off of Hwy 28/SE 1st St across from Brown's Woods. TRMA will provide meat and drinks. We ask families to provide a side-item (chips, salad, fruit, pasta, whatever you like).
Teaching , testing and board breaking will be presented As time allows other topics. Along with questions and answers and member discussions on what topics to present for next seminar

October 29th is the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I will be walking the 5k and my team's name is Anita's Team. If anyone would like to walk with me, please sign up. If you cannot walk but, would like to donate to breast cancer research, please do so under my teams name.

Master Gonzalez will start teaching a new Qi Gong and Tai Chi fan class on October 8th. This will be a regular Saturday 9am class. This class is initially open to black belts only, but may expand to colored belts as well as non-trma students in the future.
The first section of class will focus on Qi Gong (life energy) for health and healing. Qi gong is a part of Chinese medicine. The second section will focus on Flying Rainbow tai chi fan work. The third section will focus on Chinese self-massage.
